A tracking code can be added to your URLs with our integrated CRM campaign tracking solution.

Tracking codes can be added to any WordPress or Joomla URL.  The tracking code can be combined with an affiliate code.    The benefits of tracking codes include:

• Improved lead management having all sources automatically captured within your CRM system
• Reduce duplication of data.  No need to duplicate an affiliate code.  Just add a campaign code to the affiliate code
• Improved affiliate reporting. Track  your referrers with a  affiliate codes
• Improved affiliate reporting, by including tracking codes in the affiliate center.  Empower your affiliates with JV partners

All CRM records are automatically affiliates.  The quick way to get your affiliate code is to access the affiliate center.   A affiliate code can also be constructed manually.

The affiliate code uses the CRM client ID.   The above CRM ID is CLS0000001

The structure of the affiliate code is:

/?af=client-id

In the above example it would be /?af= CLS0000001

To track the URL http://www.itontap.com/crm-marketing-myob-integration with  the above affiliate it would be http://www.itontap.com/crm-marketing-myob-integration/?af= CLS0000001

In addition to having an integrated CRM affiliate tracking you can add a campaign code.

For example,

http://www.itontap.com/crm-marketing-myob-integration/?af=CLS0000001&mc=blog

The format of a campaign tracking code is

/?mc=tracking-code

When adding to an affiliate code add ‘&’

The campaign code is automatically stored in the CRM.  In the above example the tracking  code is ‘blog’.  The referrer source is also captured.  For more information please go to, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_referrer.  This type of information is stored in  the visitors  browser cookie.

When the visitor submit a form  on the website. The mc code and referrer source is record into Sugar CRM under the Web Submission record.

Reports can be setup to provide further analysis.  For example all web form submissions grouped by referrer or campaign code.      Please note the affiliate code at the web form submission level represents the affiliate responsible for having the web form submitted.
